Hotel Ritz - Hemingway's Bar

It is a great classic to go “for a drink” at the Bar du Ritz, known as at the "Bar Hemingway”.

Majestically located on the sumptuous Place Vendôme, the Ritz is one of the most luxurious Palaces in Paris.

Rooms there are not necessarly affordable for anyone (For a "Prestige" Suite it can go up to 14,000 € per night !) but having a drink at the Bar du Palace in a romantic moment is still more or less affordable and the experience is a must at least once in a lifetime !

A real immersion in a world of another time...

The Bar is very small, we sit in original Club armchairs and we taste the cocktails of the Barman Colin Field elected twice "best Head Barman in the World"!

Obviously, the Bar is not called Hemingway for nothing: The writer / journalist regularly came there to immerse himself in alcohol and it is even said that to celebrate the victory of French against Germans after Word War II, he drunk no less than 51 Martini Dry in a row!

As with the other Palaces in the capital, the trend is now to set a pastry (Pâtisserie) corner or boutique or a tea room there under the leadership of one of the great trendy pastry chefs (Chefs pâtissiers) at the moment.

To taste a one of these jewelry pastry, you have to come to the Comptoir, the Pâtisserie café shop at the Ritz under the direction of chef François Perret.

Since the departure of Chef Nicolas Sale, all gastronomic responsibility for the prestigious establishment has rested on the shoulders of pastry chef François Perret.

But the Chef Eugénie Béziat will take the reins of L'Espadon the gastronomic table of the hotel on the Place Vendôme on April 1st 2022 !

I'll tell you more about the opening then !
